In game time: August 22, 1924
The Victims: Nick, William, Eric, James
Summery: A mysterious
package is delivered to the office which causes the secretary to scream
and faint. Inside is a monsterous head mounted on a plaque.
Originally the package came from Rosslyn St. Claire. Eric quickly
determines thanks to an inscription that the head is most likely Baphamut,
a demon that the Knights Templar were rumored to get wisdom from.
A Frenchman named Jean Clairvaux arrives and claims the package was intended
for him, but was accidently sent to the office. When the investigators
refused to turn over the head he attempted to bribe them with checks for
$50,000 each. James wants to take it, but William still refuses.
Claivaux leaves his card and the investigators continue to examine the
head. When James says "Hullo? Hullo?" to it, the head wakes up and
responds senting Eric into terror. Nick tries again, asking it another
question and when it responds the terror sends him into a catatonic shock.
Eric locates a refrence to a Rosslyn St. Claire as an actress in Hollywood,
but cannot get in touch with her through her agency. James asks the
head for her phone number and he collapses when it responds. At this
point William locks the head up so no one can ask it questions. The
Rosslyn St. Claire in Hollywood doesn't know anything about it. After
everyone revives, they decide to take the head to the club and get rid
of it. They're not allowed into the actual club, but Clairvaux writes
checks out for each of them. The head is turned over to them, and
no one except James takes their check. James's check bounces anyways
proving just how evil Clairvaux was by intentionally passing bad checks.
Most Valuable Character:
